Renewable Biofuels
Renewable biofuels are fuels that have been derived from recently living organisms, biomass, bio waste and other similar elements. And because biofuels can actually be produced from edible sugars and starches, nonedible plant materials, and even algae and microbes (this is the latest generation of production relating to biofuels), this makes them a renewable and earth friendly alternative to conventional petroleum based fuels.
Because petroleum based fuels and fossil fuels are drawn from resources that do not naturally replenish themselves, the dependence on these energy sources has continued to create a very harmful effect on our planet.
Another excellent benefit of biofuels production is that it is able to draw on materials that we might otherwise consider to be waste or garbage. This includes a variety of materials that range from dead tree limbs to used automobile tires! Another popular form that makes use of materials that would otherwise go to overflowing landfills is vegetable or canola oil. Where these oils would normally be disposed of, biofuel production can directly use them to produce this wonderful alternative fuel.
Because of the potential of rising food and crop costs associated with this renewable energy source, however, there is great need for further research and development to make this a truly sustainable and widely available source of clean, renewable energy.
However, there is a wide availability of parts and kits that actually makes it possible to produce your own biofuel at home to power your automobile or provide your home with a supplemental energy source.
